AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH is a climate documentary made by the former US vice president Al Gore. I’ve been waiting for this movie for long time and it showed in the Sydney Film Festival few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I missed it… too bad! I have to wait until September when it is shown in the cinemas.
Some criticisms said that the motivation of Gore make the film is to gain publicity as he is a possible presidential candidate in 2008. However, the film also make a change in the cinematic landscape in which documentaries from all sides of the political spectrum are finding audiences and affecting the political conversation. No matter what is the motivation of the documentary, it still gives a powerful lecturer on climate as it borrow a Hollywood marketing playbook to propagandize impacts of climate change as well as raining people’s environmental consciousness.
Global warming has been a passion of Gore's since he was a student a Harvard University. After losing the presidential election and leaving office five years ago, Gore pulled together a nonpartisan slide show on the effects of global warming and took it on the road, making hundreds of appearances since then at universities and colleges, and for lawmakers, environmentalists and anyone else who will listen.

Climate...., saw yesterday printed-out-paper-copy of my last mail, unusuallly much droppd letters, strange words...,it´s true, I sat in the middle of bass-sound effects, screams, all in relatively high volume, it was occasionally, temporary, other used the place at the same time on showed the picture on the wall. Because I had came there, decided to do the mail, and have normally easy to concentrate, Hope the language was not too disturbing, but I was disturbed, which in my mind now goes further to the fact that "sound", all sounds is part of the livings surroundings, environment, not always discussed in right propotions. (I´ve wrote about it last year in swedish, and published it "small form", my main blog and in the swedish webmagazine Sourze.("Hade du Industriöron?" = directly translated = ; "Did you have
industrial ears?" I can also report, talking bout strange weather, this day thursday, here we have heat wave, about +30 celsius, even more inlands, which is mucho here.Did a short ride by car, BLACK car,.....it´s like driving a small torture chamber in town, behind that rounded glass. In the winter temperature often goes down to -10, northerna parts easily -20 or more (less?)..., so this is really to live on a place on the planet, with it´s circumstances. I don´t feel that the houses here really are ready for even bigger elasticty ihn temperature changes, (surely not people) And they are not built for that digitally perfect bass&drums performance from THAT neighbours music equipment, when the glass in the windows (others) vibrates...,it´s wrong. That´s terror. That´s all about climate for today, environment has many signals, shades...., it´s about to live in it.
